Current Builders Wins South Florida Business of the Year Award!!

POMPANO BEACH, FL - APRIL 21, 2005-Current Builders was awarded the prestigious honor of being voted as The South Florida Business Journal Region's Bank "2005 Business of the Year" in the category of "General Contracting over $25 Million.

This honor began when Current Builders filled out an extensive business inquiry application providing information on employee retention and satisfaction, net revenue growth statistics, corporate philosophy, recent awards, goals and missions, innovations, employee benefit and training programs, diversity initiatives and involvement in civic and non-profit groups. The application was investigated under intense analytical scrutiny by a panel of reviewers and ultimately Current Builders was advised that they were among the top 5 general contracting finalists. Subsequently, a team of 6 judges consisting of former award winners and business executives met with Current Builders management at their Corporate Office in Pompano.

The formal awards banquet was held on April 21, 2005 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fl. In front of over 800 attendees competing for honors in their respective categories, Current Builders was announced as the 1st Place winner in South Florida General Contracting for 2005. During his acceptance speech, Chip Reid shared the moment by dedicating the award and success of Current Builders to its more than 250 employees who could not attend the banquet.

The 2005 Business of the Year Awards were presented by Union Planters Bank and were sponsored by RSM McGladrey/McGladrey & Pullen, Neighborhood Health Partnership, U.S. Imaging Solutions, Greenspoon, Marder, Hirschfeld, Rafkin, Ross and Berger, P.A. and Nova Southeastern University H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
